Connect an AI Assistant
You can connect Remember Me to an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok and then work with your verses by chat — or, in Claude, by voice. Ask it to add a verse you just read, look one up, or take you through today’s review while your hands are busy.
The connection uses the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for letting assistants talk to services like Remember Me.
Two Servers
Remember Me offers two servers. Most people want the first one.
`https://auth.remem.me/mcp` Sign in with your Remember Me email and password. Your assistant can then read and change your own verses, labels and collections.
`https://mcp.remem.me/mcp` No sign-in. Read-only access to the published library of verse collections that everyone can browse.
Claude
Remember Me is listed in Claude’s connector directory. Add it once on claude.ai in your web browser. It then becomes available in the Claude mobile app as well, including voice mode.
- Open Remember Me – Bible Memory in Claude’s directory, or go to Customize → Connectors, choose + and search for Remember Me.
- Choose Connect.
- Sign in and authorize (see Signing In below).
Once connected, you can simply say what you want — “add John 3:16 to my Bible study list”, or “let’s review my verses”. In voice mode Claude can take you through a whole review session hands-free.
Connectors from the directory work on every Claude plan, including the free one. If you added Remember Me
earlier as a custom connector with the address https://auth.remem.me/mcp, remove it under
Customize → Connectors, so that Claude doesn’t have it twice.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects in text mode. Voice mode does not support this kind of connection yet.
- Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to Settings → Plugins (or open chatgpt.com/plugins) and press the + button.
- Enter the address
https://auth.remem.me/mcp. That is all you need — leave any client ID or secret fields empty. - Sign in and authorize (see Signing In below).
Developer mode is available on free ChatGPT accounts — you do not need a paid plan to connect Remember Me.
Grok
- Open grok.com/connectors in your web browser.
- Choose New Connector → Custom. Enter a name, such as Remember Me, and the address
https://auth.remem.me/mcp, with nothing added to it. No client ID or secret is needed. - Sign in and authorize (see Signing In below).
In a chat, you can switch Remember Me on or off under + → Connectors. Mention Remember Me in your request — “which verses are due in my Remember Me account?” — otherwise Grok may answer without it.
Custom connectors also work on the free Grok plan. At busy times, Grok may answer High demand instead; try again a little later. On Grok Business and Enterprise, a team admin has to add the connector for the team first.
Signing In
Each assistant sends you to a Remember Me sign-in page. It shows the Remember Me logo, the name of the app that is connecting, and a note that the app will be able to read and change your verses and collections. You will also see a warning that Remember Me has not verified the app — that is normal, and it is there so you only continue if you started the connection yourself.
Sign in with your ordinary Remember Me email address and password — the same ones you use in the app — then choose Authorize. The page is shown in your own language wherever possible, based on your browser settings.
If you don’t have an account yet, choose No account yet? Sign up on the sign-in page. Remember Me opens in a new tab, where you can sign up for free. Once you have confirmed your email address, start the connection again from your assistant.
The sign-in page is valid for ten minutes. If you leave it open longer you will see “Session expired — please restart the connection”, and you will need to start the connection again from your assistant.
Remember Me will never ask for your password anywhere other than on a page at remem.me. The sign-in page
shows that address at the bottom so you can check it.
What You Can Do
Once connected, you can ask your assistant in your own words to:
- Find and edit verses — look up a verse by its text, or by pasting a share link such as
https://web.remem.me/share/123456. You can change the reference, text, source, topic or note, add or remove labels, and change many verses at once — for example, set the source of every verse with a label. Collections you subscribe to stay as their publisher made them. A verse in a collection you publish is part of it: changing it, or taking it out, changes the collection, and its subscribers are offered the change (a verse a subscriber has edited stays as they made it). You can also delete a verse. Deleted verses go to the app’s wastebin and can be restored there. Your devices show the changes once they have synced, so open the app before you review the verses that were changed. - Add verses — add a verse under one of your labels or to a collection you publish, or a whole series or word list at once. If the label does not exist yet, it is created for you. If several of your lists have the same label, the assistant asks which one you mean. Before adding many, the assistant can check which of them you already have.
- Review hands-free — take you through the verses in your New, Due and Known boxes, one at a time, with hints if you get stuck.
- Read the day’s passages — the readings for today from a one-year through-the-Bible plan. You get the references and links to open them in an online Bible, not the Bible text itself.
- Browse collections — search the published library, see what a collection contains, and check how a group is progressing. If you publish collections yourself, you can manage them too.
A spoken review changes nothing. Your due dates and progress stay exactly as they were — the assistant is quizzing you, not grading you. To move a verse forward in your review schedule, mark it as Remembered in the Remember Me app itself.
What the connection reads, changes and records is described in the privacy policy, under If you connect an AI assistant.
Tools
Every tool tells your assistant whether it only reads or also changes something, so the assistant can ask you before a change. Sensitive changes affect other people or remove something; assistants that support it ask you every time. The verse tools change only your own verses, except for a verse in a collection you publish: then the collection’s subscribers are offered the change. That is why they are sensitive too.

|---|---|---|
browse_collections | Searches the published collections | Read |

If Something Goes Wrong
“Unknown application.” — Remember Me accepts only assistants it knows, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Grok.
Other tools are turned away on purpose. If you see this in Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, check that you entered the
address exactly as https://auth.remem.me/mcp, with nothing added to it.
“Invalid email or password.” — Use the same email address and password you use to sign in to Remember Me. If you have forgotten your password, reset it in the app or on web.remem.me first.
You are asked which account to use — If you have more than one Remember Me account, tell the assistant which one by its account name, not your email address. The message lists the names you can choose from, and you can always ask the assistant to list your accounts.
“Too many changes in a short time” or “Daily limit reached” — There is a limit on how much an assistant can change: 30 requests within five minutes, where adding or changing many verses at once counts as one request, and 300 verses added or changed per day. This protects your verses from a runaway loop. Reading is never limited. Nothing from the refused request was saved. After “Too many changes in a short time”, wait a few minutes and continue; after “Daily limit reached”, continue the next day.
“Storage full” — Your account has reached its storage limit. Your verses are safe, but new ones cannot be saved through an assistant or in the app. Deleting verses or shortening their notes frees space at once. To get more space, write to support@remem.me.
“Wastebin full” — Deleted verses stay in the wastebin for about 100 days, and the wastebin has room for five times the storage limit. If that fills up, deleting more doesn’t help: empty the wastebin in the web app, or wait until the oldest deleted verses are removed.
Still stuck? Ask in the user forum or write to support@remem.me.
